Shopping {spendthrifting)
May. 3rd, 2008 10:46 pmAs per norm, choir in the morning, 8 to like 1 plus. Then Sherilyn and I headed down to Bugis to join Min Jie to go to the Flea Market thing down at Waterloo Street. Lunch was great, I adore Mos Burger, and tried a new thing, the Natsumi Fish burger which was basically vegetables acting as burger buns for the fish. Very cute and pretty tasty. Min Jie was apparently at the National Library, doing PW research. At first, we thought that she was mugging away like a good student, but she wasn't huh.
We sort of got a little lost while hunting down Waterloo Street but in the end managed to get there without walking too much. And started to appraise the goods available. And we saw Min Jie's auntie skills in action: Haggling. She's a pretty good haggler, I think. Not like me and Sherilyn who apparently waste goood money by not haggling. But yeah, my spoils for the day from the flea market is only a mango scented candle which was originally 5 bucks but the seller cut down to 4 even me even saying anything. She was quite nice too, cutting down a price of 8 to 5 for Sheriyn's book. My other item was a necklace that was originally 15 but thanks to encouragement from Min Jie, I got it at 12 eventually. After buying, I then realised that these were all impulse buys because I don't exactly have any need for these stuff. Oh well. XD That's me after all, impulse shopper.
After exploring the flea market thoroughly, we went to Bugis Street next because Sherilyn apparently has never been to the second floor and Min Jie just had to show us some hoodie that she was sure we would love. Well, maybe we would if there were actually stock left, I guess.
Anyway, I think I only like spent 20 plus today, not like Sherilyn who had hit over 50 bucks already... D: and Min Jie who actually spent the least... and I thought she was the worst out of us... gee, I really must rethink my impression of people.
