in which a caged bird will refuse to sing
Aug. 16th, 2008 11:32 pmFree and easy, my arse. I don't get why the teachers are so freaking paranoid. They assigned a guy to each group and made them escort us. Our group got Ernest... >.> which Sofia proclaimed that she alone can kick his ass, so what's the use of him escorting us??!
It didn't start out on the right footing. We were sort of pissed at the fact that there will be this tagalong dragging our heels down, then they made us walk in one big group to the city center. Like we were some bunch of small kids to be looked after.
And Ernest wasn't making things any better with his attitude. He was sort of 'authoritative', commanding us to do this and that.
In the end, we splitted up but still Ernest manages to irk me. >.>
Anyway, I ended up not spending very much, or at least not as much as the others.
First, I bought the cambridge hoodie at 15 pounds, two pewter pendants at 5 pounds, some Lush products at 9 pounds, coffee and stuff at 3 pounds. Yeah... I still wanted to shop more, but the others didn't seem willing to walk on... Gah, I really really adore Lush!! Their products smell so good and are so pretty and also so very ethical.
Damn, I saw this really really really fucking gorgeous Mary Janes at Schuh, in Lion Yard and I really wanted to get them; they were at 50 pounds. OMFG lah. So damn gorgeous! I should have just gotten it without thinking... and the display pair fitted my feet just perfectly. Why am I such a freaking idiot! Now I'll have to contend with sucky versions of Mary Janes found in Singapore. Go figure, dummy.
Met everyone at the bus stop in which Ernest was late and we ended up missing two buses...
We were supposed to meet everyone at 6 for this photo thing and yeah, the four of us ended up being late. For 15 mins which pissed the teachers off. And they showed it so apparently on their faces. It was really annoying, the way that they acted. So immature. >.> I mean, c'mon, you guys are teachers, adults. At least act like it or something.
I seriously think that the two teachers that came along with us were really too paranoid and overly naggy. As compared to the other students from other colleges, we were being treated like small primary school kids out on excursions. There were just so many restrictions and rules.
Like the damn curfew, the paranoia over drunken wedding guests, the whole move in groups rule, the no leaving Girton without permission. It all just so restrictive and it just ended up making us feel really defiant.
in other news: I found a fellow tokio hotel fan!!! because there was this guy who looked like Tomi with his dreads over at the Arts and Crafts fair. XDDD Yay! Such a damn coincidence because when I brought up Tom's name, I didn't expect anyone to recognize it when I brought up the vague resemblance. Yay for Stepfanie! :DDDD
