Terror of the Skies; Danger to Ourselves
Dec. 11th, 2008 06:52 pmI would like to blame Kuroshitsuji for reviving my lost interest in steampunk. Even though Kuro isn't anything of the steampunk genre, the Victorian era that is depicted led my imagination back to the world of airships and fascinating technology made of brass and gold and leather. Last time I remembered being into this was due to Last Exile and partially Full Metal Alchemist.
Apparently there's steampunk music as well now, haven't seen that back then. Abney Park is one of the few bands, and their songs are pretty interesting, having adopted stage personas of airship pirates. :D Vernian Process and Unextraordinary Gentlemen sounds pretty good too.
